Why I Turned Off Fox for Newsmax

At dawn, Fox Business now opens its RINO weekday lineup with Dagen McDowell in Maria Bartiromo’s old chair.

Bartiromo featured McDowell on her show for years.

When Fox threw Maria under its anti-MAGA bus, McDowell took her mentor’s seat without blinking an eye.

McDowell is the anchor who bashes tariffs and mocked the president’s trade team for “girl math.”

She shares the set with Charlie Gasparino, who despises the president’s tariffs and told the “Fox & Friends” hosts, “This is not a time to be screwing around here.”

At 9 a.m., Fox Business begins its Varney-to-Kudlow drumbeat of RINO Republicanism.

It’s all three thumbs-up for tax cuts and deregulation. Meanwhile, Larry Kudlow tells the treasury secretary that trade deficits don’t matter.

One channel away, on the “Fox & Friends” couch, Brian Kilmeade told President Donald Trump that “in life, you have to learn to lose” and called the president’s attack on Kayleigh McEnany “insane.”

McEnany, of course, was the president’s former press secretary who became a Fox commentator and host.

During President Joe Biden’s four years in office, it seemed McEnany completely forgot Trump’s name.

In the end, it was no big loss to MAGA. As the president put it, “The RINOS & Globalists can have her.”

At 9 a.m., Fox News’ Dana Perino is on, saying, “If it’s the midterms, I don’t know if he cares that much.”

And this comment was made about a president tirelessly barnstorming the country!

Then Bill Hemmer tells the energy secretary, referring to gasoline prices, “It’s a hard thing to defend.”

From the White House briefing room, Peter Doocy declares, “We have to fact-check the president here.”

Jacqui Heinrich defends the White House pool blackout that Fox’s own bureau chief ordered in solidarity with CNN, saying, “America doesn’t have state TV.”

At 1 p.m., John Roberts runs a montage of the president saying an Iran deal is close and tells the audience, “That’s nine weeks of ‘We’re close to a deal.’ At some point you’ve got to acknowledge it’s not happening.”

His co-anchor, Sandra Smith, laughs in the energy secretary’s face, saying, “OK! Is that what that is?”

At 3 p.m., Martha MacCallum, in an apparent fit of TDS, told viewers during the Jan. 6 hearings that the “lack of evidence” was “the huge stunning clear moment.”

No surprise, she spent an hour last week building name recognition for Michigan Democratic socialist Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, who calls Israel’s war in Gaza a “genocide” and campaigned arm in arm with Hasan Piker, the streamer who said America “deserved 9/11.”
